I'm delighted to announce that Angela McCowan was awarded the Young Coach of the Year award at the Stirling Sports Awards this week. Angela was commended for working tirelessly in her roles both as a coach and as a co-ordinator of other coaches, and specifically for her "just do it" attitude to new tasks and responsibilities. Angela has made a significant contribution to Stirling Swimming in her first year as Age Group Coach, and it is nice to see that she is also making an impact beyond the Club. Congratulations to her from all at Stirling Swimming.
Although he did not win his category (losing out to a mountain biker) Scott McArthur was also nominated for Young Sports Person of the Year. Well done to Scott also.
