16^th December at the Birds and Bees

We are planning to have our annual Christmas night out on Wednesday 16^thDecember. This will be at the Birds and Bees for a meal at 7:30pm.

All parents, coaches and club helpers welcome.

Access to Stirling High And Wallace High

Dear swimmer We are currently investigating why our let on Monday and
Tuesday was cancelled, as far as the club knows these times were booked
and after the problem Monday night we communicates this to Active
Stirling who assured us that it would be sorted. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this might have caused but the problem has been outside of
our control.

Lost Property

A swimmer has lost a pair of trunks after last Thursday (November 26)
Bronze A training at the peak. If someone picked them up in the group
changing rooms after the swim by mistake could they please bring them to
the next training session and the coach will sort it out.

Attention all parents: TIMEKEEPERS COURSE

Stirling Swimming will be arranging a Timekeepers Course in the New Year. The course duration is one evening only lasting a couple of hours.

If you are interested in taking part in this course please email programming@stirlingswimming.co.uk to indicate your interest and you will be notified when the course has been arranged.

We have to send timekeepers and judges to each gala the club attends so if your child competes in gala’s we would urge you to complete the course and volunteer at the next gala.

If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact Anne Wilson via programming@stirlingswimming.co.uk, or on poolside at the university on a Saturday morning.

Gold squad training camp in Florida

This winter 9 swimmers from the Gold Squad will travel to Florida on the 28 Dec until the 9 January for a training camp. They will be training at the Hall of Fame Pool in Fort Lauderdale which looks fab.

We are sure the swimmers are going to love the SUN at this time of year!!!

Fund raising is going to take place within the next few weeks.

Super Swims at West District Group 6 - Age group

6 Stirling Swimmers competed over the weekend at the West District Age Group Championships in Grangemouth.

Ella Shilliday came away with a Bronze in the 200 Fly, a 5th in 800 free and 6th in both 400IM and 200 Breast and further PBs in 200 & 400 free
Ciaran Nelson came away with a Bronze in the 200 Breast, a 6th in 200 fly further PBs in 400, 800 free, 200 Back, 200 and 400 IM.
Scott MacArthur came away with a 4th in 1500 free, 5th in 400 free, 200 Breast and 400IM and 6th in 200 fly and further PBs in 200 back and 200IM
Nicola Allan PBed in 200 Breast and in 200 & 400 IM
Angus Cameron came home with PBs in 200, 400 free and 200IM
Aisla Gordon PB'ed in 200 free

Great efforts from all swimmers.

Stirling junior open meet

Make sure you have put your name down as Entries for this meet will be
done based on the sign ups from the sheet at the university
noticeboard. This is our big meet of the year and swimmers from
Silver A and B are expected to participate and those from Bronze with
qualifying times.
