Cumbernauld Winter meet - Massive medal haul by Stirling Swimmers

Stirling Swimming were represented by swimmers in the agegroup 9-14 over the weekend at Cumbernauld and between them the swimmers brought home an impressive number of medals across all agegroups and

Angus Cameron (Gold in 100 freestyle, Silver in 50 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 Buttefly and 100 backstroke)
Aisla Gordon (Gold in 100 freestyle, Bronze in 100 Buttefly)
Cara Smith (Silver in 100 backstroke, Bronze in 100 buttefly and 50 free)
Daniel Hesp (Silver in 100 Breaststroke and in 200 IM)
Conor Kerr (Silver in 100 buttefly)
Anastarsia Moffat (Silver in 50 freestyle)
Emma Stirling (Bronze in 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200IM, 50 free)
Fraser Alison (Bronze in 100 butterfly)

Success in Leeds

Joseph Welstead produced some great results at Leeds, achieving a place in the skin finals of the 50m breaststroke, where he ended in 7th position, he took a bronze in 100m Breaststroke, and then proceeded to  qualify for the skin finals of the 50 fly, where he came 8th.

Steven Binnie also took home a medal with a silver in 200 breaststroke.

Ciaran Nelson took home Bronze in the 200 breast stroke for his age group.

Christmas training

Monday December 21 

         Silver A swim at 4.30pm at the University

         Silver B can swim at 6.30pm at the University,

Tuesday December 22 

          as normal at the Peak and Silver A to join Gold at the Uni. After this there will be no training for Bronze squads until Tuesday 5th January when everything gets back to normal.  

  

Wednesday December 23 

          morning at the peak as normal for silver A and B

There will be three sessions during the holiday for Silver A and B and those Gold swimmers not travelling to Florida.

Stirling Swimming Club Parents/Coaches/Helpers - Night out

We are planning to have our annual Christmas night out on Wednesday 16^thDecember. This will be at the Birds and Bees for a meal at 7:30pm.

Access to Stirling High And Wallace High

Dear swimmer We are currently investigating why our let on Monday and
Tuesday was cancelled, as far as the club knows these times were booked
and after the problem Monday night we communicates this to Active
Stirling who assured us that it would be sorted. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this might have caused but the problem has been outside of
our control.

Lost Property

A swimmer has lost a pair of trunks after last Thursday (November 26)
Bronze A training at the peak. If someone picked them up in the group
changing rooms after the swim by mistake could they please bring them to
the next training session and the coach will sort it out.

Attention all parents: TIMEKEEPERS COURSE

Stirling Swimming will be arranging a Timekeepers Course in the New Year. The course duration is one evening only lasting a couple of hours.

If you are interested in taking part in this course please email programming@stirlingswimming.co.uk to indicate your interest and you will be notified when the course has been arranged.

We have to send timekeepers and judges to each gala the club attends so if your child competes in gala’s we would urge you to complete the course and volunteer at the next gala.
