M&B Meet: Road closed

From meet organisers

Good luck to everyone swimming at our meet at Johnstone this weekend.

A word of warning is that the Johnstone exit off the A737 is closed, so you should take either the exit before or the exit after. Either way, a wee peek beforehand at google maps to find your way to PA5 8EE and setting off 5 minutes earlier might be an idea.

Regards, Bruce

Podium storage

Earlier this year the club was presented with a new podium which we can use at our galas, however we need to find a place to store this, if you have a suitable location where the podium can be stored, please contact Anne Wilson programming@stirlingswimming.co.uk

Jumper left on Tuesday and Committee members and Volunteers

A jumper was left on Tuesday, if you are the owner please contact programming@stirlingswimming.co.uk (Anne Wilson)

As highlighted at the information meeting the club is in need of new volunteers to get involved with the club.
Stirling Swimming has had several very successful years in the water, this has only been possible due to the generosity by the group of core volunteers, however for this to continue to be the case additional volunteers are needed, we need you to get involved, start small, learn from participation

Immediate needs:
-Promotions Convenor (elected position)
-Funding raising coordinator
-Gala fee convenor (without which we can not do galas)
-Programming working group
-Squad administrators
-Social Secretaries

Following positions become available at the AGM

- Membership secretary
- Treasurer

Beside the above named positions there is a range of additional ways you can help, please contact president@stirlingswimming.co.uk

Summer Camp - still need more to sign up - don't miss out!

We are still a few swimmers short for the summer Swim Camp on 26th-29th July.  We need a minimum of 40 swimmers for it to be viable and currently we have 35 people signed up.  This is such a good fun time, and especially vaulable for swimmers in the junior squads, so please give further consideration to it if you are free on those days.  More information can be obtained from your coach or email me by return.  We will be making the final decision as to whether it can go ahead at the Committee Meeting this Saturday morning, so please let me know before then if you are interested.  The price of £50 per swimmer represents great value for 4 days of activities roughly 9.30-4.30pm.
